Ed Auger, recently retired after thirty-four years of service with the JC Penney Company, has been involved in photography since his early teen years. His special interest is in landscape, floral, and seascape themes. He uses his expertise in computer editing software to create various art mediums as well as pure photographic images. Ed's expertise in the darkroom has made the transition to digital work exciting and rewarding. He recently began marketing his photographs and art images under his new company, Photographic Phantasies.

Ed has displayed his work in numerous restaurants and gallery settings in the Dallas area. He also provides old photo restoration and printing services to a sizeable client base.

Dick Hendricks was introduced to fine art at a very early age. He was tutored by his grandfather and uncle who were both accomplished oil painters. But his mother, a highly admired pastelist, helped shape Dick's passion for pastel painting. Extensive world travel also influenced Hendricks' art education. His international experiences inspired many of his paintings. Most often Dick's works reflect the physical and cultural diversity among the people he has encountered.

A participant in a large number of group shows, Hendricks has also had solo exhibitions in Long Island NY, Sarasota FL, and Richardson TX. He is represented in many private collections and his work is on display in public and corporate venues. A former member of Long Island Black Artists Association, Founder of Lisa Productions, he continues to serve as an art consultant.

Mitsuka Iwahiro has had a life long interest in the arts. Born in the northwest corner of Japan and growing up in Tokyo, she aspired to being a fashion designer. Her interest in the arts led her to the study of the violin and viola. After moving to Dallas, Mitsuka played for the Richardson Symphony Orchestra for ten years. A car accident brought an end to her career as a musician, and she sought other ways to express her artistic interests, taking up photography. Armed with her first camera, an old Nikomat FTN, she joined the Plano Photography Club and in 1998 was chosen the Club's Photographer of the Year and featured in an article in the Plano Star Courier. She also won Best of Show at the Club Annual "Showcase 2000" exhibit, and was published in "The Photographers Forum" in 1991, 1993, 1995, and 1996.

From photography, Mitsuka's interest shifted to watercolor painting and drawing. She studied with Jane E. Jones and has created an extensive collection of work. Her artistic life over the years has gone in many directions. She published a lovely book of poems titled "Four Seasons in Texas" in September, 2004. Her goal now, is to merge these talents into something that is truly unique.

David Lerry’s interest in photography began when he was a young boy. He took photographs for his High School yearbook. He then became a photographer and subsequently photo editor for his college newspaper “The Daily Pennsylvanian”.

His business career focused on economics, business planning and corporate business development at IBM and later MCI, leaving him only time to photograph family, friends and family events.

Since retiring, Dave now has more time to devote to photography and now is pursuing it full time. He is combining photography with travel, and another hobby he enjoys, working with computers. He is looking forward to creating more “Timeless Visions”.

Irwin Lightstone combines his passion for photography with his love for growing some of nature's oddest plants. He specializes in macrobotanicals, close-ups of plants. Most of his subjects are tiny, ranging between one-half inch to four inches. Patiently, he captures the tiny jewels that he grows in the defining light. His business is named "Radiant Images".

In addition to exhibiting his work in various galleries and settings throughout Dallas, Irwin gives floral and macrophotography workshops sponsored by The Dallas Arboretum, and has lectured about floral photography at The Dallas Museum of Art. He has also given numerous presentations throughout Texas.

R.E. Marabito was born in Alliance in 1932 and raised in Cleveland, OH. Determined to relocate to warmer weather, in 1950, prior to the Korean War, he joined the Air Force and found his way to Texas where he eventually married.

By the late 1950s he was studying Architecture at University of Texas at Austin. Ron later settled in Dallas with his family and began his internship. This is where he eventually became an entrepreneur. A licensed Architect since 1964, he also headed the Construction Management and Technology Department at Richland College, was a General Contractor from 1978-85 and a licensed Interior Designer since the '90s. Other than an occasional consulting job, Ron is now retired preferring to travel by motor home around North America enjoying his art and photography.

Ron first photographed his travels, starting in the '60s to be able to relive the travel experiences. Later his photography became more important, an art form he came to love. Ron also worked with mixed media art. He decided to exhibit his photography in the early '80s. After a few shows he surmised there were, many talented photographers and he went in search of something to set him apart from others. In 1986, he combined his talents developing his unique expression of photographic art later known as "Photo Escapes". What led to this expression was a firm belief that most people cannot see outside the frame of a photo or piece of art. By artistically duplicating portions of the photographic image on the mat, Ron guides the viewer beyond the edges and allows the viewer to complete the picture with their imagination. Thus, "Photo Escapes".

Other than his unique mixed media work and computer generated art, he produces digital floral, landscape, nature and architectural photographic images.

Ron is available for commissioned work.

Chris O'Connell, the founder of Skylight Artists Association, has been focusing on his efforts on photography since he moved to Dallas in 1988. His mother's talents as a sculptor and water colorist inspired him initially to concentrate on color and macro views of natural subjects, however in 1996, his interest shifted to black and white photography and to hand-coloring his images with translucent oils.

Chris, who recently retired from thirty years of service in catalog management marketing and merchandising with the JC Penney Company, has displayed his work in many exhibits in the Metroplex, including group shows at the State Street Gallery and the Deep Ellum Center for the Arts.

Larry Petterborg was born and raised in Utah and still has family living there. He first came to Texas more than 25 years ago to pursue educational opportunities in San Antonio. This is where he became serious about photography and invested in a high quality camera and macro lens for close-up work. Following job related stays in Missouri and Stockholm, Sweden as a medical educator and researcher, he has returned to Texas where he currently teaches at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas. Larry is at home in the great outdoors and this is reflected in his primary photographic interests in scenic, landscape, and nature images.

Gloria Ross has always been drawn to the dream-like and archetypal and uses this imagery for the power of its visual and psychic impact. Her artworks are subjective visual records of feelings, observations and memories; she combines textures and medias which contribute to the desired visual impact of each image. Gloria's work includes photographs, printmaking and collage - sometimes combining painted or sculpted elements to create a rich surface quality.

Sarah Scott and Carol Stum took a mule trip down into the Grand Canyon in 1991 in search of photo ops. Soon the two ventured outside the continental U.S. into Canada and Europe. After retiring with 64 years of teaching between them, they formed Creative Focus By Two Gutsy Broads L.L.C., and started shooting and traveling seriously.

With numerous photography awards and exhibits, two magazine covers and their “own little gallery” in Salons by J.C. (southwest corner of Coit and Campbell in Dallas), the Two Gutsy Broads of Creative Focus specialize in travel photography and any “scapes”...land, sea, sky, city, and our favorite - es-capes. Come travel with them vicariously.

Jay Siddiqi has tried to reflect the vision of the bright bold colors of tropical paradise into his paintings, which convey the feeling of tranquility in the cool crystal clear waters and sun warmed beaches to meditate the soul, and the heat of the sun on bare skin which creates such a wonderful feeling of peace.  By trade he's an Aeronautical Engineer and the love of art inspired him to achieve a degree in Advertising and Graphic Design, majoring in Technical and Hardline Illustration, and he is also working as a Free Lance Illustrator.

But love of painting has never left, as he has been painting since the age of ten and at this age received his first art lessons.  He has won numerous awards in pencil drawing, pen and ink, water color and oil painting, and sold his very first painting at the age of twelve.  Since then painting is a never ending journey for him.  He also works on consignment with oil and acrylic on canvas and masonite-gesso coated board.

Ronald Wright has been a serious photographer since his first camera at age 12. He spent most of the following years gaining skill in the photographic process and developing an artistic eye for images. Ronald has studied with numerous photographers to enhance his ability, including seminars on the zone system and lately on Photoshop techniques. He operated a photo studio for a few years dedicated to creating exceptional photographic images.

Ronald photographs a wide variety of subjects with the emphasis on creating a pleasing and hopefully artistic image. He offers images showing the juxtaposition of colors and lines, various nature subjects, landscapes, seascapes, and other images recording emotional artistic content. He has been working totally with the digital technology for several years.
